About
Both of my grandfathers were amateur artists wielding the pencil or oil brush. My father is accomplished at water color and oil painting. But despite much serious commitment, the brush has not been passed on to me. I do hope that a little "fairy dust" has settled on my photography.
I do not profess to be a great photographer, but photography is a way for me to observe the beauty and humor of life. Colors, shapes, expressions are to me reminders of God's creative impulse — at times the destruction humanity inflicts upon itself — but always God's redemptive power at work.
I have had the unique opportunity to grow up in two continents and now live in a third. As Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies I have the opportunity to meet and interact with a diversity of people in the classroom and on my travels. This blog reflects the beauty of the countries and the people I have visited and pictures of my own family. It is a way to keep in touch with friends and family and share beauty with all.
